Recently I came across a video showing how to clean the powder tray of the washing machine from plaque and other contaminants in just a couple of minutes. The author promised that the tray will be clean, and you won't even have to rub anything. I decided to check if this method works or not!
To repeat this process, I'll need vinegar and regular baking soda.
The procedure must be carried out over the sink! The first step is to sprinkle baking soda evenly over the entire surface of the tray. In order for it to adhere better to the surface, the tray must be rinsed with water before this.
To improve the effect, the author recommends taking 9% vinegar!
Then just pour the vinegar over the soda and watch the violent reaction, leave the whole thing for a couple of minutes!
Then we rinse the tray under a stream of warm water, and, in theory, after such simple actions, all the dirt and limescale should fall off from our tray. I additionally rubbed the whole thing with a sponge.
It looked like the tray looked clean, but when I wiped it with a paper towel, lime stains were clearly visible on the surface!
Taking a closer look, I saw that the plaque hadn't really gone anywhere, even the adhered powder remained in some places. Flip through the photos below!
From this I conclude that soda and vinegar do not cope with such pollution very well, and the method from the Internet is another scam aimed at collecting likes and audience! Once again I am convinced that many tips from the Internet do not work at all! That's all, thanks for your attention! :)
